Galleri Fjalar is the gallery run by Kristian Eivind Espedal, better known as Gaahl (ex-Gorgoroth, Gaahls Wyrd, Trelldom). The exhibitions change throughout the year, showcasing various artists — mostly paintings in different styles.
You might be able to meet Gaahl there, but be sure to check the tour schedules of his current bands in advance. Most importantly, visit the gallery for the art itself — not just because he was the frontman of Gorgoroth or due to his black metal legacy. Gaahl doesn’t dwell in the past and is actively involved in current projects, which you can learn about — maybe even discuss with him if the opportunity arises.
Appreciate the artwork on display. Don’t just take a photo with him and leave — support the gallery by buying something if you find a piece you genuinely like.
