Caerimonia Nidrosiæ in Trondheim is a tightly curated, two-day black-metal ceremony helmed by Terratur Possessions and staged at Byscenen: six performances only, a traditional record fair and exclusive festival merch, with each edition built as a themed “chapter.” Launched in 2022 as the successor to the Nidrosian Black Mass, it foregrounds the Nidrosian milieu with special set concepts and scene history woven into the bill. The 2026 fourth edition (16–17 January) centred on a Friday headliner billed as “Nidrosian Black Mass” (songs from One Tail, One Head, Black Majesty, Kaosritual and Celestial Bloodshed) and a Saturday In Memoriam for Steingrim Torson Brissach, alongside guests including Dold Vorde Ens Navn, Black Curse, Misotheist and Umbra Conscientia. Earlier chapters featured keystone Norwegian acts such as Vemod and Whoredom Rife, plus rarities like Sortilegia and Dark Sonority. Conceptually, Caerimonia Nidrosiæ aims to be more than a gig weekender—an annual rite honouring Nidaros’ black-metal lineage with scarce performances and a close-quarters atmosphere.
