In 1975, Kiss released their third studio album. The photograph of the band on the album cover was taken on the southwest corner of W 23rd Street and 8th Avenue looking North in New York City. In the famous photo taken by Bob Gruen, we can see Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley resting his foot against a lamppost. The streets look a bit different today from back then. The lamppost is close to a store called The Vitamin Shoppe now. On the other side of the road, you can see Dallas BBQ Chelsea.
