FRANKIE ROCK CLUB

Frankie Rock Club is a rock and metal bar and live music venue at Mostná 42 in central Nitra, Slovakia, opposite the Andrej Bagar Theatre. Active since at least the mid-2000s, the club has a long history of hosting international touring musicians alongside Slovak and Czech rock and metal bands.

The relatively compact venue has a concert capacity of around 150 people, with a stage measuring approximately five by three metres. It also has a covered outdoor terrace and table football. The music programme covers classic rock, blues, hard rock, heavy metal, thrash, death and black metal, alongside punk and other alternative styles.

Over the years, Frankie Rock Club has welcomed several notable international musicians, including former Uriah Heep keyboardist Ken Hensley, former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley, former Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth and former Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake bassist Marco Mendoza. Circle II Circle and German thrash metal veterans Destruction have also performed at the venue. Heavier bookings have included Benighted, Teethgrinder, Hypnos, Innersphere and Welicoruss, alongside numerous bands from the Slovak and Czech underground scenes.

Frankie also regularly hosts smaller metal festivals and multi-band events. Among these is Hate Fest, which celebrated its 16th edition in June 2026, as well as Nocturnal Art, a series dedicated to black and extreme metal. MoonFest focuses on melodic, power and symphonic metal, with its 2026 programme featuring Signum Regis, Sinners Moon and Orkrist.
