From Dusk Till Dawn is a rock and metal bar in Kabukichō, Shinjuku, Tokyo. Opened on 1 May 2012, it was started by Yokoyama, bassist of the Japanese thrash metal band United. The bar is located on the third floor of the No. 7 Kanejima Building, in one of Tokyo’s busiest nightlife districts.
The bar has a strong hard rock and heavy metal profile, with song requests, karaoke, theme nights and jam-style performances forming part of the atmosphere. It also hosts smaller live events, including acoustic performances, with the musician Kentaro appearing there regularly.
For a Tokyo metal bar, From Dusk Till Dawn is fairly spacious. The walls and ceiling are covered with band photos and posters, including Sepultura, Iron Maiden and Guns N’ Roses. The bar also has its own DJ booth, with shelves of CDs behind it.
