Horten Børs is a rock pub and small live music venue in Horten, Norway. Located in the town centre, it is a local pub with a strong connection to Horten’s long punk rock history, while also covering rock, metal and other underground music.
The pub has both street-side outdoor seating and a backyard area with heat lamps, making it possible to sit outside even in colder weather. Inside, the decoration is varied and informal, with a clear punk presence, a portrait of Lemmy from Motörhead and the monk figures from Midgardsblot standing guard outside the toilets.
Concerts with smaller bands form part of the venue’s activity, alongside a wide range of theme nights and cultural events. Horten Børs has hosted events such as Death Metal Torsdag, Punkrockmaraton, Dikt og Drikk and Musikk-kviss, as well as stand-up nights and lectures. The pub’s own phrase “lavkultur og høye stemmer” fits its mix of rock bar, local hangout, small stage and rough-edged cultural meeting place.
