Inside Voss Rock Cafe is a rock-themed bar and restaurant at Uttrågata 42 in central Voss, Norway. The Voss branch dates from 2013, when Inside Voss AS was established, and forms part of the Inside Rock Cafe concept originally developed in Bergen. The venue combines a restaurant and late-night bar with rock music, games and occasional live events, spread across two floors with a large outdoor terrace.
Rock and metal form the musical backbone of the venue, reflected in both the soundtrack and the interior decoration. The atmosphere is informal and pub-oriented, with pool, quizzes, karaoke and weekend events forming a regular part of the programme. The basement is also used for concerts and parties, with local artists and visiting bands appearing on the small stage.
Food is an important part of Inside Voss, particularly its American-style burgers, many of which take their names from rock and metal songs. The menu has included burgers such as “Bulls on Parade”, “Dr. Feelgood” and “Suicide Solution”. The latter is an oversized challenge meal built around 2.2 kilograms of beef and approximately 2.4 kilograms of food in total, advertised as Norway’s largest triple burger. Customers who manage to finish it within an hour receive the meal free.
