Katakomben is a specialist extreme metal record shop in central Oslo, Norway. Opened in 2015, it focuses on underground metal, particularly black metal and death metal, and is operated as a joint project by the labels No Posers Please!, Duplicate Records and Apocalyptic Empire Records.
The shop carries a wide selection of physical releases, with LPs and CDs forming the core of the stock. Merchandise includes band shirts, patches, magazines and other metal-related items, with much of the selection centred on underground and independent releases rather than mainstream rock.
Katakomben has maintained a strictly metal-oriented profile since opening and has become closely associated with Oslo’s black metal and underground scene. Its combination of specialist records, label connections and merchandise gives it a distinct role among the city’s remaining independent music shops.
