Le Black Dog is Paris’s longest-running metal pub with an Argentine grill upstairs and a no-nonsense bar downstairs—two floors of loud guitars, empanadas/steaks and late hours that often push to 05:00 on weekends. Open since 2002 on rue des Lombards (the city’s jazz-club strip), it flips the script with a strictly rock/metal soundtrack, packed walls and a mixed crowd of locals, touring bands and night owls. Expect beer lists that change often, mead/ciders in the mix, vegan options (house “meatballs”) and that classic Paris cellar-bar feel a few steps from street level. A reliable pre/post-gig HQ right in the centre.
