LYNDHURST

Lyndhurst is a Bergen County town in northern New Jersey with about 23,000 residents, incorporated in 1917 and set in the Meadowlands just west of the Hudson River. It’s best known for its rivers-and-marsh setting along the Passaic River, with quick access to big open spaces like Richard W. DeKorte Park and the wider Meadowlands trails and wildlife areas, plus a strong local sports-and-events pull from nearby MetLife Stadium and the American Dream complex. The town itself is largely residential with a few historic touches (including the 18th-century Kingsland Manor museum) and a practical, commuter-friendly layout. Getting in and around is straightforward via NJ Transit’s rail stations (Lyndhurst and Kingsland) for quick trips into Hoboken and Manhattan connections, plus easy road access on Route 3, Route 17 and the New Jersey Turnpike corridor.
