Pub Trilogy is a heavy metal bar at Calle Cantante Pilar Lorengar 18 in Zaragoza, Spain. Opened in 1990, it is one of the longest-running bars in the city’s metal scene and forms part of Zaragoza’s traditional Zona Heavy in the Universidad district. The streets around Pilar Lorengar and nearby Luis del Valle have been associated with rock and metal nightlife for decades, and Trilogy is one of the venues that has survived from the area’s earlier period.
The bar was substantially renovated only a few years after opening, with the counter repositioned and the premises soundproofed. Trilogy is relatively compact, with heavy metal and hard rock dominating the soundtrack. Darts and table football are also part of the bar, and teams connected with Trilogy have taken part in local competitions.
Over the years, Trilogy has regularly organised listening parties, themed nights and events tied to major rock and metal concerts in Zaragoza. These have included official tour parties arranged in cooperation with Spanish metal journalist and promoter Rafa Basa, as well as a Wacken Open Air warm-up event in 2015. The bar has also worked with other businesses and organisations connected to Zaragoza’s metal community, including Battle Metal Store.
More than three decades after opening, Pub Trilogy remains at its original address and continues to be closely identified with Zaragoza’s traditional heavy-metal nightlife. Together with nearby bars such as Utopía and Infiernos Rock Sisters, it forms part of the surviving core of the city’s Zona Heavy, with a musical identity centred firmly on hard rock and metal.
