Rock City Bar is a rock and metal bar in Nicosia, Cyprus. Located in the Agios Antonios area close to the centre of the city, it opened in 2014 and operates as a late-night bar for rock, hard rock and heavy metal.
The bar has an old-school heavy music atmosphere, with dim lighting, a pool table and walls decorated with large-format album-cover artwork. Visible covers include Iron Maiden’s “Powerslave”, Judas Priest’s “Painkiller”, W.A.S.P.’s “The Last Command”, Savatage’s “Live Devastation” and Metallica’s “Master of Puppets”, alongside many others.
Rock City Bar’s music profile is centred on rock and metal, with regular late opening from Wednesday to Saturday. The bar has also been connected to local heavy music events, live music gatherings and metal-related pre-parties, including a Rotting Christ pre-party in Nicosia.
