SALA RIFF

Sala Riff is a small concert venue at Calle Londres 9 in Armilla, immediately south of Granada, Spain. The approximately 120-square-metre venue is arranged over two floors, with the stage, bar and sound desk on the ground floor and a smaller backstage and relaxation area upstairs. It has a capacity of around 250 people. The premises previously operated under the names Sala La Petite and, before that, Sala Londres.

The programme covers rock, punk, metal and alternative music alongside occasional electronic and themed events, with heavy music forming a substantial part of the concert calendar. Extreme metal bands appearing at Sala Riff have included Haemorrhage, Ulcerate, Fange, Pestilence, Gutalax and Vermilia, alongside numerous Spanish underground acts. Haemorrhage played its first Granada concert at the venue in February 2024.

Sala Riff has also hosted events such as A Mi Bola Rock Fest and the southern Spanish semi-final of Wacken Metal Battle Spain. Multi-band bills, band competitions and independently organised concerts give local and emerging artists a regular place on the programme alongside international touring acts.

Its small capacity and frequent metal, punk and hard rock bookings have made Sala Riff an established underground venue within the wider Granada music scene. The venue is also easily accessible from Granada, with Fernando de los Ríos metro station located around 300 metres away.
