The Mayhem Bridge is a small pedestrian bridge at Bøleråsen in Langhus, Norway, best known for the large Mayhem logo painted beneath it. The graffiti has been removed or painted over several times, but the logo has repeatedly returned, turning an otherwise ordinary suburban bridge into a minor landmark for fans of Norwegian black metal.

Langhus has a particularly important place in Mayhem’s history. The band was formed in the area in 1984, and several locations around Langhus are connected with its earliest years. Most famously, Euronymous and Necrobutcher were photographed at Langhus Station during the band’s formative period, with the Mayhem name painted behind them. The bridge at Bøleråsen represents a different kind of connection: rather than being preserved from the band’s early history, the recurring graffiti reflects how Mayhem’s legacy has continued to leave a visible mark on the area.

The logo itself is painted on the concrete beneath the bridge and can easily be missed from the path above. Over the years, attempts to cover it have resulted in new versions appearing in the same place. This cycle of removal and repainting has become part of the story of the site, with fans continuing to restore one of black metal’s most recognisable logos whenever it disappears.
