The Metal Bar is a heavy metal pub in the Pinheiros district of São Paulo, Brazil. The bar is centred entirely around metal culture, both in its music and its interior, and has developed close connections with local bands, promoters and the wider São Paulo metal scene.

The interior is dark and densely decorated with band memorabilia, posters and other metal imagery. Large flags for Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC and Motörhead hang from the ceiling, while an AC/DC pinball machine is among the more distinctive features. The combination of flags, posters, games and band-related decorations gives the room the appearance of a deliberately cluttered old-school metal bar rather than a more polished nightclub.

Beer is an important part of the concept, with a particularly extensive selection of band-related releases. Iron Maiden’s Trooper is represented alongside beers associated with Brazilian metal bands including Krisiun, Nervosa, Torture Squad, Angra and Sepultura, as well as other rock and metal artists. The drinks menu continues the theme with cocktails carrying names such as “Drunk Di’Anno” and “Raining Blood Mary”.

The Metal Bar also serves food, including burgers, nachos, tapas and other bar dishes. This makes it as much a place for spending an evening as simply stopping for drinks before or after a concert.

Heavy metal forms the soundtrack, while the programme includes pre- and after-parties, themed nights, guest events and collaborations with bands and promoters. Its strong use of Brazilian metal imagery and locally connected band beers gives The Metal Bar a particularly close relationship with the country’s own scene, alongside the expected international names such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC and Motörhead.
