Amstel Antiques Records is an independent record shop in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Located on the Amstel, it carries a large stock of vinyl and CDs and is one of the long-running specialist music shops in the city centre. The shop works across many genres, but rock, hard rock, metal, punk and rock’n’roll form a visible part of its profile.
Its stock includes more than 25,000 records, as well as CDs and DVDs. The rock connection is also visible from the street: the sign outside features the Rolling Stones tongue logo on both sides of the shop name, while the window display has included shirts from AC/DC and Motörhead alongside a Metallica poster.
Amstel Antiques Records belongs to Amsterdam’s wider record-store culture, with heavier music placed alongside older rock, punk and related styles in a broad second-hand selection. For rock and metal collectors, it is one of the city-centre record shops worth checking when browsing Amsterdam’s independent music stores.
