Borderline Club is a live music venue at Via Giuseppe Vernaccini 7 in Pisa, Italy. Established in 1996, it operates as a members’ club (circolo) affiliated with ENTES and has been part of the city’s concert scene for three decades. The venue was founded to provide a permanent stage for live music and has hosted hundreds of Italian and international artists covering rock, hard rock, metal, blues, jazz and other genres.
Hard rock and heavy metal have played an important role throughout the club’s history. Among the notable artists to have appeared at Borderline are L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, Hardcore Superstar, Richie Kotzen, Uli Jon Roth, Kee Marcello, Gilby Clarke, Vinnie Moore, Michael Angelo Batio and members of Mr. Big. The programme has also included musicians such as Carl Palmer, Allan Holdsworth, Steve Lukather and the Yardbirds, reflecting the club’s long association with established international performers.
Borderline continues to support Italian rock and metal bands alongside its international bookings. Concerts in 2026 included Deathless Legacy and progressive metal veterans Eldritch, while tribute shows, jam sessions, music competitions and club nights form part of the regular programme.
The club celebrated its 30th anniversary with Borderline Rock Fest, held at Giardino Scotto in Pisa on 30–31 July 2026. The two-day event featured former Queensrÿche vocalist Geoff Tate and Mr. Big singer Eric Martin, followed by an Italian metal bill with Trick or Treat, Deathless Legacy, 17 Crash and Rimmar.
