Reggies in Chicago is South Loop’s three-in-one rock HQ since 2007: the 400-cap Rock Club for sweatbox shows, the 110-cap Music Joint (bar-and-grill with a stage), and a rooftop hangout with games. The look is old Chicago brick and steel splashed with graffiti murals; the sound ranges from punk/metal and hardcore to hip-hop and alt. A signature extra is the Reggies Rock Bus—vintage, artist-painted shuttles that run to games, fests and select concerts. Long a hub for up-and-coming bands, the complex grew out of owner Robby Glick’s Record Breakers empire and occupies a revived industrial shell (once an auto bumper repair shop).
