Dr. Feelgood – Rocket is a rock and heavy metal bar located at 74 Rue de la Roquette in the Bastille district of Paris, France. Established in 2019, it is associated with Dr. Feelgood – Rock Beer Temple, which opened in nearby Rue Keller in 2012. Christophe Le Gal, one of the founders of the original establishment, is also behind Rocket. The Dr. Feelgood name was inspired by Mötley Crüe’s 1989 album of the same name. The bar specialises in hard rock and heavy metal, covering everything from classic rock and glam metal to thrash, death and black metal.
The interior combines exposed stone walls, dark wooden ceiling beams, metal pillars and a large wooden bar counter with an extensive collection of rock memorabilia. Framed photographs, concert posters, guitars and other music-related decorations cover the walls, while television screens show rock and metal music videos. One of the most distinctive features is a large illuminated stained-glass portrait of Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead, depicted in the style of a religious figure. The artwork later inspired a similar tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the Rock Beer Temple. Other details include a pinball machine, leather booths, high tables and a Metallica-themed table. The bar also has a small outdoor terrace and serves beer, cocktails, spirits, pizzas and other bar food.
Dr. Feelgood – Rocket regularly organises metal DJ nights, rock karaoke, album listening sessions and occasional live performances. American heavy metal band Wings of Steel performed there in September 2025, while the venue has also hosted promotional events and gatherings involving musicians from the French underground scene. In July 2026, Live Nation organised three consecutive evenings dedicated to System of a Down at the bar, coinciding with the band’s two concerts at Stade de France. The programme included karaoke, competitions and opportunities to win concert tickets. Rocket continues to operate as a late-night rock and metal bar, with its musical programme and decorations closely connected to the city’s metal community.
