NAILBOARD ROCK SHOP - Metal Travels

Nailboard Rock Shop is a specialist metal and rock record store at Tulika 19 in Tallinn, Estonia. Operating since 2004, the shop focuses on heavy metal, hard rock and progressive rock, with a particularly strong selection of Estonian music. Its stock includes vinyl, CDs, cassettes, DVDs and Blu-rays alongside band merchandise such as shirts, hoodies, patches, caps, posters, mugs and glasses.

The catalogue ranges from major bands including Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Slipknot to considerably more obscure underground releases. Estonian metal forms an important part of the selection, with releases and merchandise from bands such as Metsatöll, Loits, Tharaphita and Goresoerd, as well as a dedicated range of Estonian vinyl.

The shop is closely connected with Nailboard Records, the Tallinn-based label established in the same period. Its first catalogue release was Metsatöll’s “Hiiekoda” in 2004, followed by releases from several Estonian metal bands including Metsatöll, Goresoerd and Nihilistikrypt. During the 2000s, the label became an important outlet for local heavy music and helped bring a number of Estonian metal releases into wider circulation.

The physical shop is located on the second floor of Block B within the Tulika complex. Nailboard also operates an extensive online store, while the Tallinn shop remains centred on metal and rock more than two decades after opening.
