Abaddon Mystic Store is a Gothic, metal and punk clothing and lifestyle shop at Louisenstraße 60 in Dresden’s Neustadt district, Germany. Opened on 10 December 1999, it describes itself as Dresden’s oldest alternative scene and clothing shop and is among the longer-running Gothic stores in Germany.
The shop covers around 100 square metres and specialises in alternative clothing, boots and shoes, jewellery and accessories. Its selection includes international brands such as Killstar, Punk Rave, Altercore, Banned, Poizen Industries and Restyle, alongside German labels including Queen of Darkness and Stay Cold Apparel. Gothic fashion forms a large part of the range, with metal and punk clothing and accessories also central to the shop’s identity.
Abaddon has maintained close ties to Dresden’s alternative music scene throughout its history. The shop has hosted autograph sessions, DJs, photo shoots and parties, and has also operated merchandise stalls at festivals. Over the years, the business expanded and moved premises before eventually returning to its earlier home on Louisenstraße. An online shop was later added alongside the physical store.
The business remains independently operated, with David Börner listed as proprietor. More than 25 years after opening, Abaddon continues to combine Gothic fashion, metal and punk culture within Dresden’s wider alternative scene.
